Biking, Birthday, Basketball, and Braves Stadium

Monday was such a wonderful holiday for us! Blaine had to train a client early in the morning, but after that we had the whole day to play! After eating chick-fil-a, we went and met our friends Jake and Bet for a bike ride. I have been on ONE bike ride in my whole life.. It was less than 5 miles and more than 5 years ago. When we got to Jake’s house, he informed me that we would be going on a 14 mile bike trail. I tried to explain that I would not be able to make it that far; however, they insisted. Although I was HOT, tired, and sore by the end of the ride, I made it! Did I mention it was very hot?

After biking we went to Blaine’s parent’s house to celebrate our nephew Samuel’s third birthday. Samuel is at a stage in his life where he LOVES war, swords, shields, guns, and pretty much anything to do with protecting. Obviously everyone knew little Samuel very well because he received a two sets of shields and swords. He is so sweet and was so grateful for all his gifts. Every time someone would tell him Happy Birthday, he would respond with a Happy Birthday to you too! Haha..

When the party dwindled down, we played a game of H-O-R-S-E. First place went to Lydia, followed by Ryan, Blaine, myself, and Mr. Robert. We then played around with some sparklers and firecrackers.

Blaine and I left the party and went out to Trustmark Park for the big firework show. We got a blanket and laid on the roof of the car in the parking lot. The fireworks were beautiful and so entertaining.

All in all, it was a wonderful 4th of July! I am so thankful for our freedom and grateful for the soldiers who have served our country.

HEBREWS 13:3… Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body…. I couldn’t help but think throughout the day of our brothers and sisters in Christ in other countries who do not have the freedom to worship God and who are being mistreated and even martyred for their faith. I pray that the Lord would continually remind us to remember them and pray for them.. Please check out http://www.persecution.com/ and become aware of Christians suffering for the gospel in our world TODAY. You can read about and pray for believers who are imprisoned, tortured, and even killed for serving and professing Christ…

SEARCHING FOR TREASURE

Proverbs 2:1-6
My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, THEN you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding…

A few years ago, Blaine gave me a silver ring that was his mothers. It was such a precious treasure to me, and I wore it always. One day while I was at MC I looked down and saw it wasn’t there. I looked for hours for this ring all around campus. My teacher even dismissed some girls from my class to help me look for it. Finally, we found it! That day was such a good picture of how hard and long we will search for something we love. The Lord tells us in Proverbs 2 to seek for understanding like silver and search for it like hidden treasure and THEN we will understand the fear of the Lord. The last verse says that from the Lord's mouth comes knowledge and understanding... 2 Timothy 3:16 says that all Scripture is breathed out by God.. From this I know that the words of the Bible have come from His mouth... I’m praying that my heart when going to His Word would be that I wouldn’t just read but that I would SEARCH and DIG through what He has written to us. I pray that I would allow Him to teach me all things, give me knowledge and understanding, and also that I would grow more and more to understand the fear of the Lord.

just whats on my mind today

                                                                     HIS WORD'S
Jesus answered, "If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say, 'He is our God'; and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I will be a liar like you, but I do know Him and keep His word.john 8:55

"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. matthew 7:22-25

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; john 10:27

Time is now and then its gone, let us see your truth before the dawn.

Open our eyes before we wake, our excuses will be useless when its to late.

our hearts are wicked and our truth has been decieved, show us your truth and remove what we believe.

Let us put our faith in nothing but Your word, destroy what we have thought and wipe away what we have heard.

If we say we are Yours then how do we know? Do we hear from you; or decieved from below?

You give us Your word to examine our forever, its our choice to decide the time is now or never.

Get movin

Hello this is Blaine. my genius wife is not around me at the moment so that means there will probably be miss spelled words and incorrect grammer haha sorry. tommorow molly starts school and Lord willin i will soon be getting more clients to train in the gym. With that being said, its easy for me and molly to make excuses to have lazy, idol, wasted time, considering our life is about to get pretty busy outside of each other. so when the time comes, when she is not in school or im not in the gym, its so easy, for me especially, to chill out on the couch and rest. this always leads to turning the tv on for way longer than expected to watch something that has absolutly no eternal value, or maybe even gettin on facebook and being a picture stalker for an hour or so lol... whatever it may be, the result will end in a wasted day. im not saying the internet and tv are the devil, but i am asking why waste time? With all that being said, ive been thinking of a few verses to help me and molly through this time. Maybe they will help you!

Laziness casts into a deep sleep, And an idle man will suffer hunger. pro 19:15

Do not love sleep, or you will become poor; Open your eyes, and you will be satisfied with  food. pro 20:13

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, But the soul of the diligent is made fat. pro 13:4

The sluggard buries his hand in the dish, But will not even bring it back to his mouth. pro 19:24

The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work; pro21:25

"I  waste away; I will not live forever. Leave me alone, for my days are but a breath. job 7:16
Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. james 4:14

Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you."

Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise,
making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.eph 5: 14-17

my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 1 cor 15:58...

A LITTLE ABOUT US

We just got married in June, and we are enjoying our new life together. Blaine works at the YMCA and will be a certified personal trainer very soon! I am an elementary education major at Mississippi College. Our goal for this blog is to update you on things going on in our lives and most importantly what the Lord is teaching us! We hope our blog will stir you up and encourage you! :)

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works. Hebrews 10:24
